Two kinds of strides

There are the ultra-efficient, short, high-turnover strides. Then there are the long reaches in which you feel the lever from the hip to the ankle with the knee as the fulcrum hurling you down the road.

  1. I've been working on the shorter, high turnover strides. It feels unnatural, and my hips have gotten really tight. I keep waiting for them to feel more efficient . . .
